Prior to the Civil War, enslaved Africans were forbidden from gathering freely. In resistance, they met in secret spaces known as “hush harbors” —remote places like woods and swamps where they could worship, sing, and plan for freedom.
At Fixins, we honor that legacy with our private lounge, “Hush Harbor”—a space for the community to gather, celebrate, and organize in the spirit of those who came before us.
The Experience
Hush Harbor is an intimate speakeasy where the atmosphere is low-lit and welcoming. Guests can enjoy craft cocktails paired with soulful bites from Fixins Soul Kitchen while live R&B, soul, and jazz set the mood.
